Truck makes a knocking noise on Coke starts. It' slowly goes away. If I put it in reverse its more noticeable but after about 5 minutes it's completely gone. Should I be worried? My build isn't within the range of the bad pins. It sounds more like a rock (hemi tick maybe?)

There are some trucks that are outside of the range that were diagnosed to have the wrist pin problem.

I'd get it checked out.

Trying to find YouTubes of cold start ups. So far most sound the same as mine. Will try and get a video uploaded tomorrow. Just sounds weird to me. Doesn't sound like the death pin knock. Today looked on the dealers lot to try and hear a new stock one starting up but couldn't find any.

It's gonna drive me crazy. It's not very loud but when I accelerate its almost like a clicking. Going to take it to the dealer Monday.

Here is a small sound clip. It wasn't all the way cooled so wasn't as loud. Just got home from the gym and finished washing it. It's about 63 degrees outside. Florida life lol. Maybe this sound is normal? Thanks for all the help guys. Just a dumb kid in his twenties who loves his truck. And no mom and dad didn't buy it for me lol.

Not sure if this matters but parking brake was on and the truck was in reverse. It's when it's most noticeable.

I'm trying to steer clear of these dam forums. everytime i read about an issue, i mysteriously get that issue. last time it cost me 400$. if i didn't come on this site, i would of saved that and would of never known the issue existed.

Lol what issue is that?

it was my leveling kit. a guy posted here asking what he needed for a 2.5 leveling kit. I told him only leveling block and extended shocks (i feel it's better than the extension brackets). some guy comes on and throws track bar because the lift causes the front diff to move slightly to the drives side. visually i couldn't really tell, but when i measured, it was off.

I bought a carli track bar to center the front diff.

Where is your exhaust leak at? My truck makes this noise on cold starts. I've been swearing exhaust leak for 8 months but can't find the leak!

Thanks for any info you can give.

Mine is at the clamp on the front of the muffler... gonna get the muffler for Christmas. It has been that way since I got it home.. Closest dealer is 4 hrs away and it is our only vehicle. Since it only does it when it is cold I have been just dealing with it.
