Hi All,

I’m wondering if I can run my 2015 OEM X9 Leather Seat Covers thru a washing machine?

I have the seat covers off of the rear seat as I’m installing some aftermarket seat heaters and found some pretty nasty stains and some mould.

I’m going to clean the foam part of the seat with a steam cleaner and I planned to use the same thing for the seat covers. But I though it might be better to put some spot treatment on them and run them thru a washing machine.

Anyone know if the leather covers are machine washable?

I don’t recommend it! Best bet would probably be taking them to the dry cleaner and having them done.
I’d hate to see the washing machine screw them up. And before ya put them back on maybe use some camp dry spray for waterproofing them and it’ll also help with UV protection too.

I was wondering if dry cleaning would be a better idea, looking around it appears that many detailing places use steam cleaners on them but they don’t taken them off like I have so I was hoping for an easy cleaning method. To bad there are no washing instruction labels inside any of the covers just made in Mexico labels.
