I crank up the truck and it makes this noise, sounds like air being sucked in sorta. Thought it was at first until I popped the hood. Sounds more like a bearing sound, so to say. I can hear it better behind the fan shraud on the passenger side. I can freely spin the fan even after driving it... I cant wiggle the fan, but when the engine is running it looks sorta out of balance. Kinda ballin on a budget, straight out of highschool, working full time. I know it could very well be both. Any ideas on how much? How hard? Is it safe to drive, at least until the weekend? Thanks guys

I would say keep an eye on your temp gauge and make sure it doesn't over heat. You don't want to turn a small problem in to a big problem.

bad problem already, found out it as a tensioner pulley....

Pull in the yard, left front body lift blows out. Out there laying on the ground. Inspect the others, 2 more is about to blow out....

Look towards the rear end, steady dripping from the yolk...

Awesome. :(

How does a body lift blow out?

I'd advise you to replace the whole tensioner assembly if you have the $$.
Being 17 years old, it's cycled a lot and likey a bit tired, likely not maintaining the best tension on the belt.

72$, I replaced it. Going to the pick apart place tomorrow to get the jackbolts, washers, and rubber that'll fix my lift, hopefully get the seal replaced within the next couple weeks.
