I think that on any social media platform no matter the topic or format, user blocking should be complete and bilateral. In other words if user 1 blocks user 2 that should also prevent user 2 from seeing user 1 (and not nag or inform either user just quietly they don't exist to each other).
Two reasons, first is safety there are some lunatics out there and it would be better if users could just disappear to each other if one of them wants that. I know that's not foolproof, nothing is. Second it's a nuisance to see the reminder that you've ignored somebody, that's like replacing a barking dog with a clucking chicken.
I also like the idea of a no AI rule as impossible as that might be to enforce but we're here to bounce ideas off humans, any of us could just skip the forum and go straight to AI if we wanted to talk to AI.
Regarding the politics and sensitive subjects I'd prefer not to see any of that on a truck forum, it's hard enough to have a facts-based conversation about parts literally in a truck like catalytic converters because of how things are in society.
