I installed a set of Spec-D dual halo headlights today in my '21 RAM Classic Tradesman (replacing the factory quad headlights), and obviously did something wrong.

The headlights do not illuminate (low or high), but if I hit my emergency flashers, both the low and high beams start flashing.

The instructions lack detail, and the last page says to tap the two resistors into power and ground "of the driving lights." I tapped the red (power, presumably) and black (ground, presumably) leads going to the lower halo bulb (soldered the connections), and I have a feeling that's where things went pear-shaped.

If you've successfully done this install, please let me know where you tapped the resistors if different from what I did.

never done the install but if both the lights flash with the flashers on, something tells me you are getting power from the flasher

if it were me, id pop the headlights out and bench test them, figure out what wire feeds which bulb
then get a test light and do the same on the truck side

in fact, if it were me, id grab a couple pigtails from the junkyard and make it a plug in application

So it turns out the connectors for the main lights and parking lamp are interchangeable and I had them reversed. I still have to rewire the halo power feed, as I had it on the high beam feed. I'm losing my touch! I grew up building Heathkit projects…
