Like others have said, your problem is you installed LED bulbs in a halogen housing. But you replied to the one comment saying that person was “drunk” and insinuated they “know it all”. Clearly you don’t take criticism or advice very well. Maybe you should listen to others when those others are all saying the same thing.

Don’t put LED’s or HID’s into halogen reflector housing. You will blind oncoming traffic, they will constantly flash you, and you will be a major hazard to other drivers.

If you can’t afford to properly upgrade your lighting, don’t do it. Instead of buying the parts to do a proper retrofit ($300) or buying projector headlights ($300-$500) you decide to spend $30 on LED bulbs... makes sense. Would you buy a $50 lift kit instead of the usual $1,000 lift kit just because it’s cheaper? Well, same concept with headlights. If you can afford a 4th Gen Ram, you should be able to afford a proper retrofit. If not, you got bigger problems then your headlights.

I know your reply will be insults, or you will say I’m “drunk” or I don’t know what I’m talking about. It’s ok, I’m already expecting that.

There are leds that are tested and designed to work in reflector housings. A lot of people just buy the cheap ones that aren’t tested and designed properly and end up blinding people. Also a lot of people never properly aim their headlights after changing bulbs either. I’ve had leds in my headlights for about a year now no issues. I’m lifted 3” with 35s. Never been flashed. Yes they are bright but so are hids in projector housings and if those aren’t aimed properly can blind oncoming traffic as well. Heck I even have pod lights for my fog lights. But I bought tested and approved lights. They are DOT/sae approved lights for use as fog lights.

@crazykid1994 what led bulbs are you using?
They are supernova v4 bought from headlight revolutions. They are a 6k color which is ice white. There are a few videos from them comparing output patterns from different lights and you can see how these outperform the other lights they test. They come with canbus modules to prevent flickering and eliminate the bulb out error.

Even led bulbs “designed” for reflector housings will never truly work 100% in that style housing. For an LED bulb to work 100% in a reflector housing, the bulb would have to have like 60-80 LED’s and I say that because the bulb would have to be the same length and diameter as the halogen it’s replacing, aswell as it would have to have LED’s 360 degrees around the length of the stem, and rounding around the top of the bulb stem. The only way for an led bulb to emit light like a halogen bulb is for that led bulb to emit light in 360 degrees aswell as out the top of the bulb. Even then, with led diode placement, and current technology, the diodes would have a large amount of surface space between diode to diode aswell as surface space on the mini board the individual led is on. This creates a lot of surface on the bulb where there is no light being emitted from. But a halogen bulb or an HID bulb, they emit light in all angles, every which way, and reflector housings are designed for this (halogen) and projectors (hid) are too. No housing is designed with led bulbs in mind.

Granted I’ve run a ton of led bulbs in the OEM quads but every single brand and style I tried, never quite looked right. Either there was major dark spots in the beam, dark spots on the road, blinding other drivers regardless of how low i aimed the lights, or just not enough light compared to good halogen bulbs or an hid kit in a projector.

And yes I’ve tried most of the major brands as well as a lot of the Amazon brands as well.

The only suitable LED low/high lighting currently available would be LED Projectors, as they are designed from the ground up to properly take in the LED’s and put out the correct amount of light where it’s suppose to be.

Again, you can get “decent” lighting from expensive led bulbs that cost $180-$250 but at that price, you can literally retrofit an led projector into your headlights and have lighting that is 5-10x better in every way.

It is true that a drop in led won’t be as good as a complete retrofit but no you won’t need an led Bulb with 60-80 chips and a full 360° output to replicate halogen output. Even commercial grade high bay warehouse lights or parking lot lights only use 20-30 chips. Most use a lens directly on the led chip to properly aim the light in the pattern they want which most higher end leds use. Also most people don’t want to modify their headlights and buying custom headlights is more costly than drop in bulbs. If the truck came with reflectors you would have to buy projector headlights and other bulbs and at that point you are over double the cost.
Edit: also the only output of the halogen is in the center where the filament is. Not the entire bulb.

Not true, there is multiple options for owners who want to modify their headlights with LED, but don’t want LED bulbs or they don’t want to spend over $300. They can either buy used OEM Nissan/Honda/Ram (etc.) led projectors off eBay for $100-$200, sometimes even less than that, and retrofit them in, or they can buy some brand new NHK led projectors for $122 or some other branded LED projectors for $100-$130 and retrofit them, or they can even buy some aftermarket projector housing headlights for $200 (used) to $300 (new) off eBay/Facebook and then put their led bulbs into them where at least the led bulb will be somewhat controlled by the projector and its shield and will hopefully protect oncoming drivers eyes.

Actually I was trying to make fun because if you read under ISsmart name you will see that he says he drinks so knows things, and as I did not have a vast amount of Cash to spend I went the route that gave me better light I've also lowered the hotspot down 2 inches and have not had anyone flash me. But I have also noticed many new vehicles on the road with super bright LED headlights installed at production in fact one guy at work with new f150 with factory installed LED says he gets flashed as well.
