So anyone put halo rings in the 02-05 headlights remember what diameter rings they got to put in. I'm debating it and can't figure what size to get

Not done today...but I painted my grille orange, tailgate cap orange, and stripped the plasti-dip (PITA) off of my wheels and re-painted them.

had a pretty good weekend of part gathering...

****** projector headlights - Free
08 front fenders - Free
06-08 paintable grill - $20
bran new sport bumper cover - Free
new glossy black emblems - $55

the paintable grill and bumper cover are for the red truck as well as the emblems...

the fenders were a gimme from a friend, I got a random call and he asked me if I could use them for anything so I think a front end conversion may be in order for the black truck now!

along with my free stuff some of my purchases came in, I got my new 5d 42" curved bar to replace my normal bar, the new one is 560w vs the 240w one I removed, I had to upgrade the wires to the bar since my old wiring was apparently not enough to handle the load which surprised me, but the wire I went with now will never have a problem!

I also replaced my regular pod LEDs with the 4D style super spot pods

and before anyone questions the red wire, its the battery charger

That looks good nan. I really like the grille color matched.

Thanks, I got tired of the untreated black grille. It was put on there when my truck was in the shop and never got around to painting until recently. Still love your truck, one of the best looking trucks I've ever seen and hope to one day make an orange version of it...:happy107:

That is some good work right there! What paint did you use on wheels?

Thanks, I appreciate that. I went to a local auto paint store and they made some anti rust "dura-paint" as they called it. Made me a nice thick clear coat to help resist chipping for free because I'm in there getting paint all the time.

I've been wanting to do it for a long time I just never got around to painting it because I don't have anywhere to do such things at my apartment, but when I have a break from school I head home and it's free game on mods. Color matching is something I want to dabble more in for my truck but funds are limited so the going is slow. Your truck, DemonHemi (both of them), are pretty fantastic themselves. If only I had the time, place, and skills to do such work to mine.

I cleaned off my truck

Oct%2010%202016%20first%20snow%202_zpsathxcf8n.jpg

It's already snowing there. Wow I'm dreading it so many can't drive in it here and the cities don't prepare for it till it starts snowing.

Replaced my defective engine oil pressure sensor. Oil pressure gauge would go almost full scale when the ignition was turned on, before engine start. This caused the CEL to stay on during engine operation. CEL cleared after approx. 10 starts.

just keep doing it slow and steady that's how I started and learned, I used to stay in an RV park for work (followed jobs on location) and I modded my truck at the RV park, even painted panels so I know the struggle! :favorites13:

So after driving with my winter tires for 2 days, they make almost no noise on the highway and still corner great. :favorites13:

Hey, I'm new here...and i gotta ask, How the heck you got the rebel grille on a genIII? Did you Make that?

my old man has a 14, and if i remember right the grille isn't attached to the hood like my 07?

as far as what i did to my gen III today (last weekend)
I installed a cheapo intake system to replace my even worst vararam that had rattled itself apart in the course of 2 years!

louder for sure, and appears to have helped MPG if anything.
