It's been awhile bit a couple of weeks ago I had the lifters and cam replaced in my 2015. Then Monday this week I put LED bulbs in my low beam spot. Driver side keeps turning off. So I don't know if I need those canbus things or not. I want to do the high beams but not until this is figured out. See my post.

Almost traded it in today. Almost. Went to see and test drive a new F-150 Lariat. While all the tech was great, I just wasn’t that impressed with the interior. Interiors in both my two buddies’ gen 5 Laramie and Longhorn are way better and cost the same as the Lariat. Ford dealer wanted $70k. I was like “damn! That’s HD territory.” I’ll just stick with my gen 4 and finish paying her off. Also, even though it was an FX4, I didn’t feel as high as I do in the Ram. My truck has the factory 1” raised ride height and rolls on 34” tires.

I wanted to trade because I’m tired of dealing with the atrocious customer service at the Ram dealership. I know I have my choice of dealers, but I fked up and went with them for the lifetime power train warranty. Sucks cause I have to service it there. Also, they can’t seem to fix my front suspension correctly. Or the truck is cursed, who knows? Either way, the Ram stays.

Went And picked up my new to me goose neck all though nice built side boards they was later removed but will be later cut down to a two or three board high side board to use if needed and some mods are needed to trailer, axles have no travel so a axle flip kit will be installed to add about 4 inch's height to trailer 8 inchs if I replace axle's with straight axles current ones are 4 inch drop new fenders and lowered to new ride height. new floor joist and floor, cant believe they hauled livestock in this thing with this great built frame but only has 2 inch angle welded to bottom of frame every 20 TO 24 inch for floor joist. I will be adding 4 inch C channel every 16 inch cut to where they will slide into the side rails and rest on the C from the side then be welded in then add a new treated 2 x 8 floor but not before whole trailer gets cleaned rewired new lights and new paint to finish it off. oh and new set of radial trailer tires with new silver steel wheels. I think I done pretty good 1,400 for it plus I figure another 1,000-1,500 in modding to where it should be so 2,400-2,900 total IMG_20211023_160626434_HDR.jpgIMG_20211023_171209863_HDR.jpg

Finally got my grille marker and fog lights wired up. Used the extension harness from @Mpgrimm2 so the fogs are on the factory headlight switch and added an aux switch relay bank from 4wheelelectronics. I set it up so the marker lights are always on when the truck's running.

FRONT MARKER LIGHTS:
I wound up getting a piece of 1/4x5 alum flat stock, cut 2-1/4” holes in it for (6) 2” LED lights, put a radius on the bottom corners, then bought a piece of 1/16” ABS chrome faced plastic with adhesive back and applied it to my 1/4 x 5 flat stock, and mounted the lightbar between the uprights on my grill guard, clear lens amber lights

I think I’m too afraid to drill holes in my roof. What are your thoughts?

Sorry…still figuring out where to answer people from. I think I am too afraid of drilling holes in my roof. Do you have any thoughts on that?
Totally understand.

I did the lights myself. There's an old carpenter tip...... "measure twice, cut once". In this case I measured 3 times, and drilled once. The installation was actually pretty easy, and I thought straight forward. I got the Ram OEM set, which does come with a template that was really the key to where to drill and position the lights. I've not have any issue whatsoever 3+ years later :waytogo:

I zoomed in on your profile pic and your clearance lights look great, also a big thumbs up for the flag on your roof. For best results, I would definitely go with the factory kit like you did
