That's how they negotiate and hope for an ill-informed buyer.

They put a high price on it and people offer a reasonable price and proper price but the dealer negotiates up - they win. You would have to go in with a really low price and then negotiate up to the proper price. Most people can't do that. It takes a lot of stamina and good tactics.

I got 18,500 back in trade. I don't feel too bad about it.

Thats not that bad. Coworker of mine just bought a 2012 Suburban with 125K miles on it for $33K... (about $10K over priced)

I am happy with this. I would be lying if I said the noise isn't part of why I got it. Sure it can help in other areas, but a little more noise when on the gas is nice.

Mine is down low since I built it myself. I think that's why I don't hear mine.

I found one of my old trucks at the same dealership I traded it in at about 6 months ago and crazy as it sounds they were asking more for it than what I paid for it originally. I saw it while I was getting my oil changed so I went walking the lot to kill time. Like a hawk the used salesman came out and asked if I was interested and I immediately told him I wasn't interested in that truck for that price when I bought it brand new. He didn't believe that it was my old truck so I walked into the shop and got the key to THAT truck out of my NEW trucks glove box and hit the remote start ..... he got a real embarrassed look on his face

Yeah I'm pretty sure that truck, when I bought it new last year (14 left over) was tight around that price.

Removed my side steps and debadged the tailgate and ram 1500 emblems.

Put on new tires. Went from 265/70/17 to 285/70/17. Raised it up about 3/4 inch.

At tint shop. Doing 35% over back glass, 35% over back windows fronts are already 18% and doing 54% on windshield
