Washed all the salt from the 2 days of snow we had here this year. View attachment 192866 View attachment 192867
Luckily the weather forecasters aren’t geniuses here, and it seems to be finally nice today, so I’m going to go catch some salmon!Looks like your good-to-go at 3 this afternoon---if you hurry---LOL

I’ve never like those XB tails on any other truck as much as I do on yours! They really suit you colour combo. Nice jobA couple things done yesterday. First on my 2500 Cummins:
Replaced the stock tail lights with Morimotos.
Then my 1500 was due an upgrade. Morimoto XB HiD Lights. What an improvement over stock! Long overdue.
I spent this last weekend introducing my rear bumper to a 10’ mount of plowed snow and ice
Can anyone point me where to find a replacement? Dealer cost is $680 for bumper with holes for sensors

I installed the engine block heater I ordered from allmoparparts. Not a bad job, the longest part was trying to route the wiring harness for it. I couldn’t reach the back of the engine on the passenger side to run the harness that way. So, I routed it to the driver’s side instead.
Once you remove the starter, the spot for the heater is right behind & slightly above it in the engine block. You can partially see it before taking the starter out after you remove the heat shield.
I watched this video I found on YouTube to get an idea of what I was up against. This was not as annoying as I thought it would be.
I currently have it plugged and set to a timer to kick on at 0500.

Did you have any skid plates that you had to remove? I did on mine and that made the job a pita.

I thought I was going to have to loosen/remove the bracket that bolts to the front axel assembly and runs under the trans to get the bottom starter bolt, but the socket fit in there & went right on.

I was at the stealership Monday to get some recalls done. I went into the showroom while waiting and the truck in there had those in the doors and the sticker showed that those were a $76 upgrade. Those aren’t worth that much in my opinion, but the $26 on amazon is more like it.Yep that link are the ones I bought. Generally I have phone, fire pager, and other stuff thrown in the center console cup holders so these worked out perfect...plus gave us somewhere to put juice boxes for the kids.

Awhile back I got tired of the glare off the chrome center latch handle and used a small scrap of adhesive matte black vinyl I had and wrapped the handle. Non permament, eliminates that glare, and matches the interior better.I painted the center console latch handle. I thought I'd do a super thorough job by disassembling the console lid to remove the handle for painting. My word of advice; just don't take the lid apart. Its not worth it. The inside bezel was not designed to be separated once installed to the lid. You will break most of the clips.
If I were to do it again, I'd just mask of the handle and paint it. I'll take some pics tonight when I get off of work.
