I’ve been crazy busy with work, I am currently building 5 websites at the moment and it gets exhausting switching between all of them and confusing this with that lmao so I havnt been on here for 2-3 weeks or so. Time for a little update.

Ordered myself some new speakers during Best Buy’s Early Black Friday sale.

51b05b9b51f4d73aba249bf54ea1f069.jpg

Ordered 2 pairs of the Kicker CS Series 6x9’s for the doors and rear, also ordered the Kicker CS 3.5’s for the dash. Running it all through a Keneood KAC-314 amp. Got the amp for $100 when it is normally $200 and got the 6x9’s for $80/pair when they are normally $129 (or $119 can’t remember).

Also ordered all the adapters for the stock speaker wiring so not cutting. I’m going to build an adapter harness so at the radio end, I won’t need to cut or splice the wiring to run to the amp, it should all be plug n play.

Will all be running thru this headunit. 9e9fa25cc488560f02fe27a284476f59.jpg

I can’t remember the last time I upgraded audio in a vehicle I owned. Probably 15+ years lol. And I don’t think I ever used quality parts, when I was young I used the cheapest **** I could buy, usually used. So I’m excited to see how this will sound with a full Kicker CS Series setup.

Banff...that's another place on my bucket list.

It's a nice little town, work takes me there every 2 weeks, lol. It's a bit more expensive then most towns it's size though, lol
If you do ever make it out west, take a tour up the Kanaskis Highway,it's a beautiful drive, and is supposedly the highest elevation 2 lane paved road in Canada,it's not uncommon to see Mountain Goats/Black Bears/Grizzly Bears on that drive in the summer and fall.Another beautiful drive is up the old #63 highway to Lake Louise and take a ride out on the Glacier at the Columbia Ice Fields ,then go over and take a walk out on The Skyway. Both are beautiful drives with spectacular scenery

I would love to find some antlers when in the mountains. The dogs love to chew on them. Of course I would clean them up before giving them to the dogs. A 8” long section of antler can run about $20 in the store.

Same. I have 2 hounds both over 70 lbs.

This is about half the stack my brother found this year. He sold the rest to one of the local guys that cuts them up and sells them to the pet supply stores and I think he ships them to China as well for herbal tea and whatever else they make from them.

Replaced all 6 speakers with Kenwood speakers and wow what an improvement. Received my Radio T-Harness from Net Audio yesterday to add a Kenwood amp and AudioControl LC6i. All I need are some little parts that I'll pick up later today to finish the upgrades...

Once you’ve gotten accustomed to the improved sound from you speakers try changing the head unit. That will make your speakers sound even better.

Attempted to drive to Montana from SoCal. Had some lighting issues do turned around in Provo UT and came back. Kept speed at 85mph where possible. Definitely impressed with the performance of this truck. PXL_20201105_212510124~2.jpg

Man which MTX did you get? The red ones or the big ones? I have the red cheapies in my Jeep and they are ok, for the 40 bucks a pair they were on ebay but I did the better MTX speakers in my Ram five years ago and they're awesome
I got the cheap red ones. The Terminators. I guess you get what you pay for

Spoiling the dogs again.

Used 2 memory foam mattress topper sections cut to the foot area
on top of the DIY platform
full

And then a HF moving blanket for now to cover it all. You can barely
see that the foam is still about an inch too low. For the time being,
the grandson legs can lay on the foam and not be uncomfortable.

Great idea :waytogo:

Center console rear vents would get obstructed on mine though.

Was a dipstick, forgot there were shorty pylons at the gas pump. Plus a head from a big ass GSD that blocked the backup cam because he was nosey to see what I got

So I searched the forum for a thread like this and didn't find anything. I figured it would be fun to have a thread that everyone can watch what everyone is doing each week.

This week I put on Steelcraft nerf bars, and right now I'm getting the permaplating put on the truck. This way it gets a real good bath.
Having 1” spacers installed today, hoping to fix slight rub at full lock & keep tires even with flares. I want to thank Quick Shifter for all his help, I saw he had 1.5” spacers for sale, when I sent him a pm inquiring about them, I also mentioned my concerns with keeping tires even with flares or creating new rub by pushing out to far. Instead of just recommending the ones he was selling, gave me several options & great advice even after I told him I wasn’t sure what size I going with. He is clearly a man with integrity more interested in helping a fellow member/custumer than making a sale! He has a suspension shop in PA, I have been satisfied with the shop I use in northern VA but would certainly make the drive to PA if I change my setup in the future! Thanks again QUICKSHIFTER!

Staying with the oem red. A restoration shop called Redline Finishes is doing a show car paint job. Taking them about 30 or 40 days to do the job.
