Early 2003 F-250 with the last of the 7.3 diesels. While the 7.3 is great engine for long life at 250HP and 505 ft/lb torque, it doesn't compare to the Cummins 6.7 with 370HP and 800 ft/lb torque for hauling a trailer.

My 2017 1500 Long Horn is my 3rd truck.

First: 1990 Dakota, standard cab, 4 cylinder, manual trans, with NO air conditioning. I just wanted some versatility since I had just bought my first house and needed something for Home Depot trips as well as a cheap commuter. Bought new for $8900!

Second: 2001 Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew. Had kids by now, needed a truck and a backseat. Bought new for $27k. Great vehicle. Had it 17 years.

The RAM was also bought new. A bit bigger, definitely more room in the cab and bed. Rides fantastic. Been really happy with it.

Before finally buying my 1500 5.7 Hemi I had leased a bunch of vehicles:
Ram 1500 3.6L
Ram 150” 5.7 Hemi
Nissan Frontier
Nissan Cube
Suzuki Sidekick (drove it until it fell apart)

2007 GMC Sierra classic SLE 5.3 2wd crew. Traded it in with around 250000 kms. Now I have a 2012 RAM 1500 ST quad cab 4.7. I'm liking the higher stance and 4x4.
Strange how my newer ram has more rust than my old GMC.

All vehicles in order:
1993 Cadillac Deville Sedan Northstar V8(rode like a dream but was thirsty)
2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.6 (worst car i've ever owned, bought for $5k, spent $5K in repairs over 3 years)
2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4.8(drove till the rear-end gave out at 240k miles)
2007 Honda Civic sedan 2.0 (great little car, got fantastic gas mileage)
2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited JL 3.6 manual(first vehicle i ever bought new, good vehicle but had a pretty rough ride for a daily driver)
2020 Ram 1500 Limited 3.0(loving it so far, nicest interior i've had and its getting fantastic mileage)

High school: 1995 Isuzu Trooper with the 3.2

Got married in college and sold Trooper for a "better" 2004 Honda CR-V (i say "better," because the speedometer went out, the valve train had a rocker go bad causing misfires, the transmission was going out, and the A/C system went out, that car was trash).

Wife came into the marriage with a 2003 Honda Civic.

Sold the Civic for another 1995 Isuzu Trooper (my last vehicle before the truck).

Traded the CR-V in for a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek (wife's current car).

Sold my Trooper to a dude in need, and replaced it with the truck!

06 VW Jetta TDI. Drove it from 2010 until 2019. Got it with 74K miles. Ended with 263K miles. Blown turbo. I picked up my 2020 RAM 1500 Bighorn 5.7L V8 Hemi Crew Cab just before states completely shutdown.

My first truck was a Mazda B2200. Don't recall the year. Had it for 2 years in the Navy.

Two years after I got out of the Navy, I bought a 99 Dodge Dakota Sport 5.2L V8 4X2 with 5spd extra cab. Great truck. 20MPG average. Could haul a ton of wood, and tow my dad's Airstream like it wasn't there. I made the mistake of getting rid of it for car when gas prices went up. They only gave me $5K for it. I should have kept it, and just bought the car.

In 2005 I leased the first gen Honda Ridgeline. Not a bad truck for a small compact truck. The tailgate was great. I especially liked the trunk for my volunteer fire gear. It had plenty of room for the 5 of us. The problem came when gas prices shot up to around $4/gallon. I turned it in early for a car. Never ever leasing again.

A 2009 Ram 1500 and a 1998 Tacoma before that.

For all the love Toyota gets for reliability I didn't see it. My poor taco turned into a money pit at 115,000 miles. Horn went out first which was unbelievably expensive to fix, then in no particular order alternator, transmission sensor, master break cylinder, fuel pump, transmission twice, a lifter rod in the engine, transfer case, door handle, front blinkers, wiper pump, shocks, air conditioner, and several front end components.

My 2009 Ram had a much tougher life than the Tacoma yet gave me 225,000 trouble free miles before I had to put a dime in it. The fan clutch, water pump, and air conditioner went out around the 250/260 mark. It was a great truck. I no longer catch **** from my Ford buddies because of it. 3 of whom turned tail on ford because their Ecoboost engines needed replacing after 150,000 miles. They also had many electrical problems that were very expensive to fix.

Right before this Ram 1500, I had a 2011 Ram 2500 (Diesel) in the same color. I developed a leak at the front differential and decided to trade it in 2015. So, for halloween 2015, I went home with this one.
