What do you not like about your Ram?

What I hate the most about my Ram is ...it drives so nice, I want to drive it almost all the time! My other vehicles don't like that....

Everything's that's garbage was replaced . It's all in my sig line.

Heck I hate it so much it's getting a 1961 International cab on it and I'm removing the factory ECU and going stand alone and obviously yeeting the TIPM in the field and blasting it with my AR

Took 12y but it's finally working right.

I find this to be getting even more true as I get older. Even when the weather is nice I find myself reaching for the truck keys more than my Camaro these days.

It's also made car shopping a giant PITA. Modern pickups are popular for a reason, not just Ram but the F-150 as well. With a locking hard bed cover, they are the modern touring sedan, but more versatile. Good power, comfortable, plenty of room for luggage, good visibility, plenty of room for passengers...but at the cost of a higher literal cost over "normal" cars.

The car harder to get in and out of, feels like I am sitting on the ground, zero room inside and the visibility is terrible.
I would rather pay for the gas and be comfortable.

Two things. The EGR system is a flaw in the diesels.
I do not like hearing all of the negative feedback about transmissions.

We are still trying to figure out what exactly my wife wants. We test drove a Nissan Frontier yesterday and are going to look at a Tacoma tomorrow. That would be our "economy sedan", so to speak.

Side note, I was reasonably impressed with the Frontier. Guys who say they want an "old school truck" should take a look at one. Regular ol' V6, hydraulic steering, and it rode like what I'd say an 80s-90s truck on a midlevel aftermarket suspension rode like. Pretty decent, not as good as a Ram 1500, but deep into good enough territory.

Have had my 2500 now almost 5 years. Have got used to rotary shift knob, still not a fan of them. Two things I still really dislike is the narrow foot pan on the front passenger side, and the fact the pickup is needlessly tall and wide with no gains. It is materially taller than my 1996 and yet the 96 actually has better ground clearance. The height and width are all about appearances with no thought to usability. I have to stand on a friggin milk crate just to check the oil. Also not a fan of no dipstick on the Transmission.

Outside of those, all of which I can live with, it has overall been a great vehicle and it does the job it is designed to do. It also rides much better than my 96 2500 with the leaf rear suspension, so much so it is my favourite vehicle for long distance travel and the 6.4 averages 45% better gas mileage.

Edmonton to Moab in two days covering 1400 miles, no problem at all comfort wise. It also performed well on the trails there.
