Over the years I've had Toyota, GMC, Chevy and Rams. Each had their good and bad. Stayed with Ram for the last 12+ years. The only real complaint I have with gen 4 Ram is the headlights are too dim.

I don’t know if you have the reflector headlights or the projector headlights but yank those stock bulbs out and I guarantee ya you’ll retract that statement.

Two things.
#1 Too high.
Got one guy saying it’s too low compared to the F one-fitty he had and you’re saying it’s too low...lol. Poor FCA just can’t catch a break, can they?...lol
#2 The location of the tow switch, Chevy puts it on the end of the gear shift loved it.
I guess they could’ve figured out how to put the tow/haul button on that rotary knob....

(assuming they ever had it) It was dropped long before that! My '15 had the exact same 3/36 bumper-to-bumper and 5/60 powertrain warranty.

He’s talking about the lifetime MVP warranty that you used to be able to opt for. That, that you’re talking about is just the standard factory warranty.

Same issue here with the passenger seat not heating up on remote start. The seat is cold at -40.

Lol, is there always going to be someone sitting in that passenger seat every single time you remote start your truck? If so, then I guess I rest my case.

Not always, but it would be nice to have the option to turn it off/on like the drivers seat.

True, but maybe they still wanna have a line that separates between a pickup and a high-dollar luxury car...lol. Somewhere on here someone mentioned that 3/4’s of the **** that comes on these pickups nowadays is **** that no one ever woulda dreamed of being on a pickup years and years ago.

I would like to see some sort of warning that I’ve left my opening rear window open when leaving the truck. Know I’m gonna leave it open someday and a monsoon will hit.

This is exactly what I was gonna say. It would be nice if there was a feature that if the windows were rolled up, the back window would auto close when the truck is shutoff

What all’s the difference between the 4 and the 4C? I bought a 4th-gen Limited so mine came with the Nav. I still don’t use it. Lol...

They did away with the Uconnect app on those new ones? Or is it the 4C Uconnect you need to have it?

According to the manual, you need the 4C in order to connect remotely.

Love my RAM but should be able to DISABLE the MDS without a tuner.

They don’t want you to disable it. That’s why it took a tuner before, and still takes a tuner but with the addition of an unlocked PCM.

But if you have the 8-speed- not sure of this trick works in the pre 8-speeds or not but at least with the 8-speed, you can use your +/- buttons on your steering wheel to have your gear display show all 8 gears next to the PNDR readout. So yeah, there is a way to disable it without a tuner, you just have to do that every time you start the truck or after you shift back from Park, Neutral or Reverse.

If they allowed you to permanently disable it, that feature could not be used in EPA MPG testing, and therefore MPG would be lower and cost them street cred and possibly CAFE issues.

That worked on my son's '13 w/6sp.

I don’t know how true it is, and if the two different guys at two different dealerships I was talking to was blowing smoke up my ass or not but, they both said that yes, they can disable the MDS with their Mopar/Chrysler computer but if word ever got back to FCA, the dealer would get charged like, 20-grand for each vehicle they found out they disabled the MDS on.

That worked on my son's '13 w/6sp.

That’s good to hear.

So far I don't like not having an off option to the HVAC when you have the controls on split screen. All you can do is turn it down to 1. If you want to turn it off you have to click climate then when you press the minus button it goes from 1 to off. Maybe I am doing it wrong, but that's a pain in the ass. The minus button on split screen should do the same thing instead of stopping at 1.

Pretty sure the tow mirrors are manual fold only. Which is why I didn't order the "tow package", just the trailer brake.
Mine are power folded mirrors, but to switch to towing mirrors if is manually done. It's part of a package.

I believe he was referring to the 1500's with tow mirrors. The power fold tow mirrors are only on heavy dutys.

This must be the 12" screen right? Because I don't know about any split screen on the 8.4, plus there is the "OFF" button you can just press...

One of the reasons I didn't get the 12" screen is because there seemed to be very few one-touch features available.

No CD player.

Missed that during the buying phase, not sure if it would have made a difference. But sometimes the radio or SeriousXM just don't cut it.
