My Story, I was a diehard Ford guy bought them for the past 15yrs, I was looking at a Lariat f-150 and I had sticker shock that they were going about 10,000 more that the XLT's I had a 2018 F-150 2.7 eb to trade in, so I went to a dodge dealer just to look and compare I really didn't need a CC so they bring out this 2019 Laramie loaded QC, I took it for a ride and didn't know a pickup truck could handle so well I was sold, i got this truck for 15,000 less than a lariat, I got about 20,000 miles on it now and they have been trouble free

Last spring we were offered a "can't pass on this" deal on a nearly new camper. Only catch was that our 2008 Hyundai Veracruz wasn't really built to pull the thing. Started looking at pickups. I was never a full size truck person and I had fond memories of my 97 GMC Jimmy(RIP). So At first I Thought maybe a Duramax Canyon or Colorado would work. In the meantime we borrowed the FIL's V8 GMC Sierra 1500 for multiple camping trips. Realized 3 things: 1. GM's mid-sized offerings just weren't going to work FOR ME since the camper is so much wider than they are. Ditto for the diesel Jeep Gladiator. 2. Gas V8's are so obnoxiously loud when doing anything close to work. 3. I HATE paying for the fuel those obnoxious "HEY LOOK AT ME!" engines guzzle.
Tried a buddy's 3.5 EcoBoost for a weekend. It was...Nice. But not quite the fuel mileage I was looking for. F-150 diesel? Too new to be in our price range. Same with the 1500 DuraMax. And I find the newer Silverados ugly. So we come to the 4th Gen Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. Checks all the boxes on paper, rides real nice, the 3.0 does it's thing with no drama, the styling is on-point and prices are starting to become less stupid on them. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

^^^ I agree.
My cousin's wife has a F150 Lariat with the 3.5 Ecoboost and it's a decent performing engine all things considered but her mileage isn't any better than my 2019 Laramie with the 5.7 Hemi.

I had Ford and Chev trucks up until 2002 when Ram came out with the Gen 3 style in the 1500. It looked so good, I had to try it. And ever since then, I’ve always driven a Ram.

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab (black)
2010 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab (red)
2014 Ram 1500 4x4 Crew Cab (red)
2019 Ram 1500 Limited 4x4 Crew Cab (black)
2021 Ram 2500 Power Wagon 75th Anniversary (black)

Very happy!

Needed a Pickup truck to tow an enclosed trailer 1-2 times a year.

After doing so was when I realized Ram was really the best choice.

First Mopar owned, and sure it won’t be the last one :waytogo:

I bought a new Ram because of a wicked good price on a new truck. The First Responder discount through the FCA fleet sales department is... BIG!. How else could I get a brand new 4WD truck with a v-8 engine for $32,500 plus tax and destination?

And, it seems to be a great truck, too. I love that hemi V-8.

For me it was having so much knowledge of the 4th gen rams and access to many used parts.

Worked in a bodyshop since I was 14. I'm 27 now and we see ALOT of 4th gen rams. I've probably painted well over a thousand of them. I wouldn't say I'm an expert when it comes to the motor and drive train but when it comes to the body and interior I know almost every detail about them. Taking mine apart and rebuilding it was so easy because of past experience.

That's going to look nice when you finish. I like purple and blue, looks like it's going to be one of them depending how the light shines on it. Please show pictures when it's finished!

Will do! I'm actually in the middle of coats of clear on the box while typing this! I do have a build here on the whole thing as well!
