I don't see a picture. But in your glovebox, you have a connector.

It is used when you remove the tailgate. It covers the chassis connector, keeping the elements out.

Basically, it's a plugged version of your tailgate side of the connector.

This is for a trailer hookup so you can use the factory adapter and pin it your self. Its not to protect anything.

I just looked at the eBay link, the connector in the link is a blank off to protect the tailgate harness, when you remove the tailgate.

That harness doesn't have any wiring for a trailer. It doesn't even include any pins to wire anything to it.

Mine is a Blank that you put in place when you remove your tailgate. Mine has no pins and is only used to cover and protect the existing plug.

Yes. Its for the electrical connection to the tsilgate . to protect it when you remove it. I got it too. I have the backup camera. Newer trucks might have the locking tailgate.

Mine came in a bag with instructions for tailgate removal. Connector with bracket connects to chassis wiring. Connector without bracket connects to tailgate wiring. Protects wiring from corrosion.
