Tranny disconnect for when you get towed. Only comes on the 8-speed.

on a 3rd or 4th gen? by your profile you have a 2007. Near that in mine is a cubby hole for crap or the factory controller for the trailer brakes

I thought all you had to do was put the 4wd selector in neutral. Have to check manual.

No that is the transmission neutral for when the truck will not start. Learned where that was real quick when I had the Lemon 2016.

Wow! Just googled that strap. Learned something today. Never thought about the default to Park when engine shuts off. Nice feature when I forget to shift to park. The Manual Park Release Strap is in the manual, way in back in emergency section. Kind of important IMHO. One question. Can you just push it back after towing, or does dealer have to get involved?

Never mind. Actually looked it up. Just reverse process to re-engage parking pawl.
