What Thuren springs should I get? 1/2" or 1 1/2"

Looking for some opinions on people here. Just curious to see what kind of lift people have gotten in the real world. Thuren is pretty good but it's nice to get some real numbers from people who have gotten them. I'm leaning towards the 1/2". I plan on ordering in the next week or so. I'll be doing the track bar as well.

Very Happy with my Thuren setup. 1/2 inch front springs, rear springs, front/rear trackbars, fox 2.0 shocks (king shocks were out of stock and a little spendy for me) king front steering dampner, rear swaybar links. I rarely tow but i usually carry a couple hundred pounds of gear in the back and i will load up with camping gear at times.37 1 - Copy.jpg

If you like the stock stance than go with the 1/2" springs. I put the 1 1/2" springs on mine and it had a solid 1 1/2" lift on the front, and I wound up putting a 1" spacer on the back because I thought it looked nose high afterwards. The other downside is that this lift makes the 35's look too small!

For the comment above that states "I just wanted the Overland shocks" my guess is that is referring to Thuren's statement that you can't use any of their shocks unless you also use their coil springs. They say because the shocks are longer it will let the front droop more and pop out a coil spring, however that is not the case. The 1 1/2" Thuren coils and my stock '16 PW front coils were basically the exact same uncompressed height, meaning that the stock coils wouldn't pop out of the coil buckets any easier than the Thuren coils........

Also on a side note I want to give the guys at Thuren a shout out. I've been emailing Chris back and forth all morning. I also emailed Andrew last night regarding my tire wear problem. He got back to me in 1/2 hour. Stellar customer service. Companies could learn from these guys in that department.

Yea, if you want to retain a little bit of rake without adding a rear spacer, get the .5” springs instead of the 1.5” ones.

And yes, if you want to just stick with 35’s, the 1.5” springs make them look a little on the small side for sure.

remember to you 2019+ owners Have probably about a quarter inch or a little more height in the front than the fourth gens do. a few things were slightly modified on the newer models I believe the quoted increase was 7 mm but I could be mistaken on that

I have 1.5" ones on order and plan on running a 1" spacer in the rear (going to run the stock rear springs).

Here is my '16 with 1.5" front coils and 1" rear spacer on stock springs with 35's. Obviously has the weight of the bed cap, which is a little more than typical because it has the side cabinets inside the side windows.

Just decide between .5 or 1.5 inch lift for front. Comes with track bar and springs. Looks like they added fox 2.0 shocks for 195$ more. I’d do that upgrade.

I hope everyone who reads this realizes that whether or not you go .5 or 1.5" will not affect the ability to stuff bigger tires (this info is directly from Thuren).

I actually ended up changing my order from 1.5" to .5" springs. Now i'm just waiting on my King 2.5's to get built.
