Hey Guys,
So I've been doing a good bit of reading around and I'm mainly looking for some engine mods to increase my MPG. I'm not worried about having 500HP and blowing everyone in the 1/4 mile as I drive my truck for life and not sport haha So I am wondering on some things. What would everyone recommend for me to do to help my MPG the best? I have a friend with the same truck, 2014 Ram 1500 Express, and he has a Bully Dog program on it and he is averaging 27.5MPG when he drives HWY and 23 on the city streets he said. This is crazy cause I'm getting like 20.4 on the HWY and 18 City! So I was wondering what everyone's opinion would be on a few things?
What Kind of Programmer? (prices?)
Vararam or K&N? (thinking of getting Vararam to just paint it to match the truck!)
Exhaust?
Throttle Body Spacer?
Ported Throttle Body?
Anything else that you can think of?
I'm not looking do anything that may mess up my warranty or cause any issues. But just trying to think of a few things that'll help out my MPG over the next 6 or 8 years that I plan to have the truck! I wanna be able to do most of the stuff myself, like bolt on stuff.
