In 1932, Dodge cars adopted a leaping ram as the car’s hood ornament. Starting with the 1940 models the leaping ram became more streamlined and by 1951 only the head, complete with curving horns, remained. The 1954 model cars were the last to use the ram’s head before the rebirth in the 1980s. Dodge trucks adopted the ram as the hood ornament for the 1940 model year with the 1950 models as the last.

Cricky you missed one. In the mid 1980's Dodge came out with the Ramcharger. Check out the hood ornament on what I believe was the Prospector model. RAM head. It was stolen often.

A Camaro is a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs
You have to be more specific, The F-Body used to eat Stangs until Ford came with the Coyote 5.0 and every other single Mustang variant from there. I’m a Chevy fan at heart. It’s been a while since Camaros ate anything I’d think though I haven’t checked what was new in 18 or 19 year models and now with Scatpacks, Hellcats and Demons out there I think is fun battle for the top.

It was just a joke to the story of what Camaro meant and what was said when it was created lol

Reasonably sure the ram hood ornament on Dodge trucks was still around in the eighties and early nineties.

I know it was in 87. My dad bought a new Dakota. First model year (and only hear with a carb. He had craptons of problems with the carb).

His had the ornament. 2wd longbed v6 5sp with prospector package. Cream and gold.

EDIT

Now I may make a liar out of myself. I googled and can’t find any pics with it. But I swear I remember it having one.

You missed a couple yourself..........

The "Ramchargers" was the name of a factory backed racing team/organization started in 1959

The Ramcharger sport utility was made from 1974 to 1993, not mid 80's

My screen name use to be TheRamChargerMan on another site specifically for ramchargers..............which I shortened to TRCM for other sites. At 1 time, I had 5 - 79 ramchargers, all 4wd.....so people started calling me theramchargerman, and it kinda stuck.

My avatar is the one I had the longest, and it has the very last MOPAR shortbed conversion kit on it....as the molds were already destroyed.
