I saw a Colorado that I thought looked pretty good yesterday. I personally think the Ram looks the best but I'm not turned off by the F150 or Chevy and GMCs either. The new Titan is my least favorite and the Tundra barely edges it out.

Different strokes for different folks. As long as you don't push your opinion on me, then there's peace in the world.

I think auto designs will swing back and forth, rounded then to sharp edges then back again. I think we are in the hard crease/square phase of design. Trucks are harder than cars I'm sure as buyers are probably more brand loyal as perceived quality is a great motivator of selection. And when it comes to work performance, quality counts.

look at the "break through" design of the original Ford Taurus. round. bubble. etc. A huge break from squared off brick shaped cars that were available prior. most cars became more organic in style after that. then we all got sick of round. so they added creases to the Taurus, and other cars. full circle 20 yrs later, the ford Taurus is squared off again.

Trucks are just following suit. things are squared and creased. GM in particular. The tundra is still comically oversized but now with squared shoulders. Ford has been on a rectangle kick for a bit now. RAM has added creases between gen 3 and gen 4. Maybe now that we're getting sick of squares again, next gen or two of truck may soften to rounder shoulders again, whats old is new again.

Having said all that, I'm still waiting for my Le Tigre polo shirts to come back in fashion, I have a closet full.

I wouldn't think the ram could get any rounder. I think they would go back to more square if anything

Hey guys, first time posting but long time lurker. ;)

I just gotta say for me the Ram's have always had that big rig looking presence from day one. Even the new ones still imho look well balanced with their height to width and how they fill out the wheel wells with the 20in wheels, seem to sit level more than the other brands, etc. Nothing like seeing that huge front grill with the Ram in the middle coming up behind you.

I have a buddy who just bought a new full size GMC Sierra 1500 and when we park next to each other my Ram makes his truck almost seem like a mid size Canyon. ;)

It's true, my brother bought the same truck as your buddy. I try to park next to him when ever I can. ;)

I have to say it's all a matter of what style is in at the moment and over the years the styles change in popularity. Both my brother and dad had 3rd gen rams so I have liked them since 2001 and have always appreciated the ram front end vs the others with the boxed look. It's different, tough and more masculine than other brands. IMO

I do however still love the square body GM's from back in the day.

The hipsters in skinny jeans, wearing hair buns, with big bushy beards all got together and decided their wanna-be lumberjack style needed a truck look to match.

Big, huge, flat, fu** ugly truck noses. It's the truck design equivalent of a hipster beard. Goes good on 'em. Matches flannel nicely. Slap a 'Feel the Bern' bumper sticker on the back, next to the Monster sticker (and/or 'Shocker' sticker), to complete the look.

I'm personally not a fan of the new GM "round peg on a square hole" wheel well configuration. But it wasn't a deal breaker last time I went truck shopping either. That said, I like the lines on rams probably the best, hence why I bought one. But then, at this stage, I'm probably biased.

Can't stand GM square wheel wells. I find the square front to look crappy. I think the newest fords look pretty good for a ford haha. I think it is just about what you like. I don't think anyone is close to Ram in looks but I have felt that way since around 93.

nothing beats the look of a RAM. On a related subject, while out for a walk the other evening my wife and I spotted the ugliest truck to ever grace this earth a crew cab LONG BOX Tundra in a boring red. Honest to God you would have to stick a gun (any) in my face and I still do not think I could own that piece.

I agree, however I do think those trucks look real good in a short box, lifted way up with mudders. but i also think of the toyotas as toys not trucks, no matter the setup.

I saw a lifed tacoma, not tundra. That thing looked so out of place, lifted with such a small frame. It was overdone on the lift.

Those big, huge, flat, fu** ugly truck noses are a necessary evil. I work in a plant where the cooling modules for these trucks are designed and built. It takes a lot of air flow to provide the cooling required. That air flow means a lot of surface area on the front of the truck.

Some of the assemblies shipped are huge with a combination of radiator, condenser, charge air cooler, combi cooler, transmission cooler, fan, and shroud.

You don't have one of those silly "Coexist" bumper stickers on your Ram do you?
