Just got absurdly expensive plastic wheel / fender shields from a dealership. Current ones are damaged and there is enough info on their importance that I went ahead with them. They are for my 2014 Ram Quad Sport 5.7 Hemi. They are significantly different in size. Numbers 68110686AE and 68285577AA. Anyone know if they will fit? I have an appointment to have them installed when new tires are mounted 11/19, so have time to react if one is wrong.

I was quoted around $270 - wife picked them up and despite hard copy quote she was charged an embarrassing amount more. I probably would have walked, she did not.

Ebay listing one I found, shows $194 for it says each, but then in the description is says 2, for a 2014. You'll need to figure that out

I wore through my right front when I lowered my RT from a tire rubbing. Got one from ebay to hold me until I got oem. The ebay one actually was fairly well made and thicker than oem. Which is why I checked there first.

Thanks! I have a call in to the parts manager who I have met and got along with. Will see what happens. Worst, I'll return them for credit tomorrow and search online. I have never had a RAM before, so a learning experience. Been a long time I have done anything but light body work & routine maintenance, back to pre computer vehicles! I don't believe I will dig in again now. I do have a couple of trustworthy shops locally.

Rolled down to the dealership, 150 mile round trip - the parts manager I got along well with has moved on. I mentioned a quote he gave me, they probably would have done something with the price, but were really not interested in my business. With what I have seen online, the $442 they charged my Wife seems more than a bit rich for R & L plastic Fender / Wheel Shields. Got full credit back to the credit card. Now I will have to do some quick hunting - new tires next week would be the best time to install. A nice ride and the truck was a pleasure to drive. Like my Magnum, the new cell phone through the stereo system is the best I have heard a phone call in years - excellent phonebooth!

Are you talking the fender liners? I know on my 05 you could get two flavors of rear, a full shield like the fronts, and kind of splash shield that just kept tire spray off the back underside of the bed. You could see the frame with those. Anyway, maybe that was confusion on price, they quoted the small shields but ordered liners.

The language kept changing - these are the large ones that go inside the front fender and protect the stuff under the hood. The ones that came on the truck were both damaged, though the Carfax was clean. Oversized wheels & tires possibly the cause. Never had a Ram before, so learning as I get it up to where I want it. I believe the particular dealership will be a last resort!

Did check with Benny, quick reply, good prices on the parts, generous offer to split the shipping. Shipping anything is awful these days, nothing to do with the seller. More than I wanted to spend. I will have to keep trying to find some close enough to pick up. New tires go on tomorrow so no time to take advantage of that for the installation.

I am at the point of hunting up some industrial plastic, taking my pop rivet gun and washers, and reinforcing / repairing the remains!
If you have some fabrication skills ,this may give you a stronger piece when it’s finished. If you go this route a heat gun can be a great help shaping the plastic.
I used to make boat windshields, and other plastic things.
Mine look okay after 11 years, however it has stock tire size , so no rubbing issues.
