Thought I give members a heads up about a problem I ran into.

I bought rims and tires for my truck a few years back hoping to reduce weight and improve off road performance.

One rim developed a serious crack on a spoke, while two other rims started showing hairline cracks in the same areas.

I went back to Costco where I bought rims and tires and was told that the manufacturer won't honor any warranty claims due to overloading the truck.

The rims and tires are rated at 3,900 lbs each and the combined weight does not come anywhere near
that number.

I sent the company a certified scale report and pictures of the failure.

I'll keep you posted.IMG_2123.JPG

This should be interesting. I’m curious to see what they have to say.

Even a maximum loaded 2500 doesn't hit those numbers. Isn't it around 9k max gvw? And that's not all on one axle. If those wheels are truly rated 3900lbs (I can only find info on the 20" and they are rated at 3600), and if the manufacturer won't honor it, then Costco should because they installed those on your truck and set you up for being "overloaded". Sounds like BS to me.
