What is everybody using for a wheel protectant? I was looking at Chemical Guys Wheel Guard. It's a DD so I would like something that is durable to brake dust and mud.

I've tried numerous sealants on my wheels and the one I've found the easiest to apply is the CarPro Hydro2.

The Rockstar wheels are really busy with a lot of nooks and crannies so they are a PITA to apply a sealant to.

With the Hydro2, you just spray it on and wash it off then dry. Easy peezy.

This version is concentrated so you have to mix your own batches.

The Rockstars are painted black in a satin finish. I use it on my winter rims too and they are the polished aluminum Sport 20" wheels.

Yeah mine are a PITA too clean so many little spaces sp I need something to help keep them clean. I got a sample of Wheel Guard coming so I'll try that and see if I like it and if I don't, I'll try your suggestion!

I will suppose to be here sometime today. I will give my first impressions as soon as it's not raining and I can detail the wheels

Well I did a quick clean on the wheel and used the Wheel Guard and I must say im impressed. Was easy to apply and easy to get off. You use very little. I then cleaned the tire (got polish on in cleaning the wheel) and saw the water beading up. Im impressed and the tube I got should last at least 2 years

Thanks for the feedback brother.
You are welcome! Best price I found was Amazon $19.99 for the Wheel Guard and $8.99 for 12 blue applicators (what chemical guys recommend) for the same price of just the tub ($29.99). So I saved $2

Clean them back to new and ceramic coat them. It lasts longer and makes maintenance washes so much easier. I won’t own another set of wheels that aren’t coated

That is what o had done. Washed them the other day and everything just rinsed off. They had only been on for 3 days, but one of the days had been in the rain. But I was still impressed.

I'll have to look into that! I don't know if anyone around me does it, I'll Google it.

Figured I'd follow up with my first rinse with the Chemical Guys Wheel Guard. I had the truck muddin over the weekend and included a picture of the truck so you guys get the idea lol
1st pic: Just the truck
2nd pic: Wheel with brake dust buildup (don't know I'd you can see in the picture) I use cheap brake pads that give off a lot of dust and mud buildup. I let the mud sit for a few days along with the brake dust to "bond" to the surface. It didn't fly off doing 65 on the highway
3rd pic: Just a rinse with a regular garden hose

You guys can be the judge of if it works or not, me I think it is a hit.
