Thanks for the Alfaobd info. I thought his tk was a '22. Well there are a few ways to do it besides the dealer.
You are correct, I was wrong. He does show as 2022.
He would need a SGM.
I have the one from Z Automotive. Worked well when I changed my rim/tires

Out of curiousity, can you 'talk' to your '21 Ram in any way (perform some functions) with out the gateway module?

I think you can connect, but not much else. Not 100% sure, as I haven't tried with my 2021 to connect without it.

What size tires are on it now?
I don't physically have the truck with me, only ordered it last week.. But according to build on website, it shows P265/70/17 (depending on make), 31" diam. the tire that comes on the rims I'm interested in are 275/60/20 33" diam for 2022. I'd have to drop down to a 255/60/20 to keep same diameter as stock without changing tire size in computers.. (according to TireRack for a Firestone all season)

This was a requirement in 2012, but the sensors were a different frequency

My 2019 Classic Bighorn had the 275/60/20s. Only issie is finding a tire more than 4 ply or SL rated. You can go up to the 65s and get 10 ply all day long. Where did all the 6pl/C's go?!

My speedodometer was always off, went to a 305/55/20 which is a 33.2" dia and now it is correct. Always wondered how much tgese car companies saved by running out the warranties prematurely like that.

It's amazing how much difference there is between tire sizes even amongst the same size. If you go to TireRack and compare diameters of the same sized tires, you'll find quite a bit of disparity between brands. And do the OEM's figure this in when they put say Nexen on one truck and Firestone on another? (don't know diam's of them, just an example)
