wheel spacers?

I have a 01 ram 1500 5.9 and im gettin 2" wheel adapters. Do I need hubcentric adapters or does it not matter? I read somewhere that my truck is lugcentric but I don't think it is. Which would be better hubcentric or lugcentric?

if your truck is lugcentric then get lug centric

Lug centric just means that the holes for the lug is tapered so the spacer centers itself. I would get hub centric spacers to prevent vibrations at higher speeds due to the spacer not being perfectly centered. They cost a little more, but well worth every penny.

What adapter did you order? I just found out the 1.5" ones I ordered don't have the correct thread for the wheel studs.

If you go less then 1.75" you'll have to cut the stock studs to fit

Like i explained above, lug centric refers to the wheel or spacer not your truck. It referes to the manner in which the wheel or spacer centers itself. You can run lug centric. Hub centric (most every vehicle I can think of) means that there is a lip on the hub that the wheels sit on to center them. It doesnt really matter which ones you buy. They are exactly the same, with the only variation being that hub centric ones will have a center bore to match the lip on your hub. Both spacers are lug centric as they self center as you torque the lug nuts.

Or a better answer, remove the lug cover if you see a ring in the hub tight to the wheel it's hubcentric
If there isn't a ring on the hub it's lugcentric

2nd gen 1500s like the OP do have them
3rd and 4th still have center caps, not sure if you can see the ring once you remove them or not

You want to match it to the hub bore so the spacer centers on the hub.
