We're on a similar pace with our 2020 Limited. Under 21k in the five years we've owned it. I can't say we'll have it in another five years but she still smells like a new truck inside. And no etorque crap LOL.Hmm I guess I don’t put alot of miles on mine….I have 53k on my 14 express with no payment…obv I should just run errr.
Right maybe I need to upgrade as I keep seeing hemi will be back. I’m not sure I can go to an inline with turbos after having this. We're on a similar pace with our 2020 Limited. That oil change part reminds me, when should one go about that? 60k or that ballpark.I don't feel so bad with 62k on my 2017, now. Thank you!
This said, it's clear Stellantis didn't like going out of business, so we'll see if Tim can pull an Iacocca out of his hat. He's on the right track, of course.
I would actually consider something if the price were reasonable. My RFE trans is ok so far as is my Hemi 6.4. Since it's too late for him to start over, I expect he won't be able to fix Hemi valve train issues, so not sure why I would buy until mine falls to pieces? Yeah the ZF 8 sp is nice (sans absurd oil change procedure), but still.

My thought on upgrading my 2019 would be 2026, if/when they go back to a Hemi and allegedly no more MDS and no E TQ. They come out with a 1500 or even 2500 no MDS, (no E TQ), I would be interested. They just bring back the 5.7 for the 1500 and same MDS BS, no sense changing as I already have a 5.7 and no E TQ either. If you have an RFE, I'd change every 35k with Red Line C+ ATF. You won't believe the smoother operation of it! If you haven't already, #1 priority is to get rid of that stupid trans oil cooler line thermostat!

I’ve read few articles on here that say the dealer will say it’s a lifetime. While I feel mine shifts ok I wouldn’t say butter smooth, but I also like to goose it.8 sp every 60k miles, or whatever that works out to in km

Any real evidence of them getting away from both? I haven't been paying that much attention to the new news, but on another truck/suv forum I'm on for the wife's suv there's rumors of gm getting rid of afm. But again its all rumors as far as I can tell.allegedly no more MDS and no E TQ
Been "reported" few places to include TK's garage. I personally will sit back and observe and see. There are big rumors on GM ref AFM because they are toasting engines real quick and are in a "pickle". We shall see.Any real evidence of them getting away from both? I'm not in the market and hopefully never will be for a newer computer box on wheels but here's my opinion. I kind of doubt they'll do away with any of their "gas saving" cylinder deactivation crap. There's still way too many people that believes it gives them better mpg. To me its sad the amount of people that buy a v8 truck and ask why their mpg isnt what its "supposed" to be and how can they get better mpg. Especially the people who have lifts and bigger tires. They (stellantis, gm) would also have to admit that this fuel saving system thats been used for what 20 years now also comes at the cost of having a less reliable engine.
I do really hope they get rid of mds though. The more crap you put on something the more problems you're going to have.
I would considering if turn off AFM. Consider Ford 150 V8 get rid of pod trans. Where RAM one ups better interior and excellent 8 speed trannyAgain, MDS doesn't kill Hemis. Poor oiling does, and VVT made it worse by moving the cam up further from the splash oil in addition to already high cam for Hemi outboard exhaust valve push rod.
GM messed up cylinders with too low tension rings so when piston oil nozzles squirted on cold deactivated cylinders they stuck rings ~ 40k miles or 70k miles and turned into an oil pumper. I had one. Pumped a quart per 1,000 miles, after pumping zero when new. Just outside of warranty!!! I researched, got pissed, went to Ram.
