Where does this hose attach

I pulled of the Ram 1500 5.7 engine cover and found this hose unattached. It is right behind the alternator and runs to the back of the engine on the left side
Can you please tell me where does this hose attaches?

Looks like the transmissions breather hose.Follow it back and see if it goes into the transmission,if it does,it doesn't hook to anything,as it lets the transmission breath.

Like Wild One said. Here is where it connects to the trans, the end in your picture remains open ended.
