Hi,

I am looking for a replacement of the stock tires (Goodyear Wrangler SR-A) 275/60R20 on my 2016 RAM 1500 4WD.

What I need:
+++ good wet handling (living in the "rainy" British Colombia" in CDN)
+++ quiet (city/ highway)
++ aggressive look

- don't need a good snow/ ice handling (will have a specific winter set of tires for the winter)
- Don't tow/ haul
- Don't drive offroad
- don't care about mpg, thread life, pricing, etc...
- don't care too much about comfort (the air suspension should more or less compensate it)

As far as I could understand the best choice in reference to the factors stated above would be mainly AT tires such as:

1/ Cooper Discoverer A/T3
2/ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2
3/ Toyo Open Country AT2 extreme (seems to have no difference in terms of wet handling and noise with the regular Open Country At2)
4/ Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure With Kevlar
5/ Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac
6/ Nitto Terra Grappler G2

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 look fantastic but seems to have deficiencies in the wet handling (especially when they are not new any more) (and in some extend the Toyo Open Country AT2).

What is your experience about all these tires? expecially in the wet handling and in terms of noise? What would be your recommendation ?

I ended up with BRG KO2 tires with no regrets. There are a lot of reviews to read online. Most do not compare the latest BFG against the others. I'm surprised how quiet they really are and the ride is much better.

X2 on the LTX. M/S2's are fantastic as well with a great mileage guarantee. Personally going back to the Mich. AT2's as soon as the stocks melt.

not sure how michelin didnt make your list.

As others have stated, michelin ltx's. Worked in a tire shop 20 years ago......michelins were the best then and are still amongst the best now.

Aggressive looks counts out the LTX M/S2. It's not very aggressive looking... But it's a damn good tire.

Look up the Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10. Civilized AT tire with an aggressive sidewall look.

id say either the K02, AT2's or duratracs in that order. duratracs probably being the loudest of the 3 but no bad.

Based on your criteria I would not go with an A/T tire. Only thing on your list an A/T checks is the "Aggressive" look.

Go with the BFG KO 2s. I put 275/65/20 on my new truck. I have used the Cooper AT3s on my last truck and wasn't totally sold on them, still slippery in the wet. I've used previous generations of BFGs in years past, but these KO2s are the best yet.

Take a look at the Cooper Zeon LTZ as well. They have a sporty, yet aggressive, tread pattern, and are a pretty decent all around tire.

I have cooper rtx and I love them. But looking at the tires you provided, you really can't go wrong with any of them.

I have the Goodyear Wrangler Adventure with Kevlar. Rides just like the stock ones and just as quiet but looks much more aggressive.
