I found a local place that will line-x my bed for around $350. Which isn't a bad deal. I just don't use my bed a whole lot so I can't justify spending that much if I don't have too.

I'd like to do it myself cause I just like doin **** myself.

Which would you choose:

Monstaliner or Herculiner?

I paid $450 five years ago for my truck. $350 is a pretty good price. The DIY kits aren't nearly as nice and will look pretty poor.

That being said, if I was going to buy a DIY kit, the Herculiner has been around for quite some time. I've never heard of the other brand. I would sway towards something with some history.

$350??? Do It!!!

But back to your question, I'd recommend Duplicolor, Herculiner or Rust Oleum. They make good quality stuff.

I used a Herculiner roll on bedlinder kit about 4 years ago on a friends pickup bed utility trailer and he uses the hell out of it. It still looks good with a wash now and then. Nothing special needed.

350???!!!!! omfg take that deal!! I was quoted over 550 out the door for their basic stuff. The DIY roll on stuff sucks, and will not come close to the durability of line-X. It will fade, peel, and come off over time. There is a a lot of prep involved too, it would take you a whole weekend to do it right. When you get a professional install you get a warranty, and Line-X is the best stuff you can get hands down. Honestly if they told me 350 for Line-X I would of requested it in writing as that is an incredible price!

also.. so you know, a spray in bedliner increases the value of your truck, you will get that 350 back when you sell it.

PS: you're nuts if you choose to DIY.. In comparison, my drop in Rugged Liner on my old truck was just over 200 bucks..

For $350 I would do line-x, but between the two diy kits you listed monstaliner hands down. It is really big in the jeep community, it is also the only one that offers a 5 year warranty.

Lol sounds like the Jury has spoken ....line-x it is.

I only considered the diy route because my buddy did his lightning with Herculiner and it came out pretty well.

Definitely Line-X.....I had a 78 El Camino (maybe that was my first problem), but it had a DIY liner new when I got it in high school and after about two years it started to peel and fade into a gray / white color. Then I got a new truck with a Line-X liner in it and when I sold the truck 10 years later, it still looked brand new

A friend of mine just got the bullet liner for $450 and it looks really nice. Not as clumpy looking as some other spray liners.

Rzrman328 in your original question it is Monsta Liner no doubt about it. I have used both, and herculiner is more like paint. Monsta is pretty close to LineX. I say Monsta is an 8 and LineX is a ten, Herculiner would be a 4 outta ten. Herc will look good when done, but will chip and peel super easy.

However, LineX is da chit, it is what I have in my last 3 trucks and will be the only bedliner I put in the truck bed. next week I am monsta lining my tubes and bumper, but for the bed only use LineX due to it's strength. Scratch your bed to hell before taking it in, will stick better.

I was originally wrong about the $350 price when I first posted....I went back thru the email and they quoted me $325. So I'm definitely gonna have to jump on it.

I was leaning towards the monstaliner out of those two. Maybe I'll get crafty and find something to monsta-line.
