Which sc programmer do i want?

Hey guys i have a 06 hemi qcsb 4x4 with a volant air intake.
I want to buy a sc and dont know which is best? Eith trans tuning too and mpg setting plus performance?

You want the Flashpaq 3865 or Cortex 3950. Both offer the same tunes for your Ram. The Cortex also can tune Dodge Cars and Cummins powered Rams (only one vehicle can be tuned at a time), and it has a 2 year powertrain warranty, but the warranty gets void if yo get the advanced trans tuning. The 3865 is cheaper than the Cortex.

There is also the Flashpaq 3815 which SC no longer makes. It was replaced by the 3865. The 3815 does not have enough memory for the Advanced trans tuning option, but still gives you control of WOT shift points and the performance/mileage tunes that the 3865 has. You can find these for pretty cheap used.

SC is also coming out with the VIVID, which looks awesome, but is not out yet

Thanks 3865 sounds good. Can a rookie end up doing trans damage with tuning? Or are programs pre written?

Superchips has trans tunes that are different from stock, or you can tune yourself, there are plenty of safeguards in place to keep you from blowing up your tranny. Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't heard of anyone having issues.
