Whining noise

So every time I go out on the highway there is a horrible whine coming from the rear end. I'm thinking that maybe it's my gears that need to be aligned as they are aftermarket 4.56's. The sound is like some kind of electric motor sound, kind of like what an electric scooter sounds like. What do you think!

I would bet it is pinion bearing or even possibly carrier bearing. I also have 4.56 gears and have done the pinion bearings twice so far :(

That's what I thought. Hopefully I can get them fixed, and hopefully they're not toasted
