Why did no one tell me?

So I went to run new speaker wire to the rear door last night and found out that dodge used a connector on the body side of the door to body conduit. So its not possible to run extra wire threw the oem route. FML. Did not have the supplies to make a second conduit from the body to the door so I gave up for the night. It was a disappointing night, but ill get it done.

two! one in the door and one in the b pillar. sucks but it seems it has to be done unless someone has done this a different way? Anyone know it the fronts are like this as well? Once I got stuck with the rears I did not bother with the fronts.

I thought I read that most people went through the molex connector in the door?

I'm going off of memory............but swore that people did that on the 3rds. I'll dig around tonight and see what I find!

I had to run new speaker wire to the front door speakers on my 08 3rd gen, I ended up going through the molex connector like Jeremy said. Complete pain in the ass but I managed to find a spot JUST big enough to stuff a wire through. I'd imagine the back is the exact same.

yeah you just disconnect the connector from the door and the cab and stuff that bad boy through. I did it on my 05. If I recall there is a gap in each corner.

ill have to go back and look. Not going be able to do it for a while but from what I remember it did not look like there was any room for anything. But I hope im wrong.

You can run new wires through the gaps in the corners of the molex connectors. its a pain but its not too difficult
