So I just ordered the moldings but the salesman said that they won’t work on the warlock. Does anyone have any experience?

There is actually a quick piece of model history to clear up first: Ram did not build a Warlock in 2017. The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock package was introduced later, starting in the 2019 model year. [1, 2]
If your truck is a 2017 model, it is likely a Ram 1500 Rebel or a standard 4th-generation Ram (like an Express, Sport, or Big Horn) that someone has upgraded with a Rebel/Warlock front bumper conversion. [1, 2]
Because the Warlock package is essentially a parts-bin match to the 4th-gen Rebel, the correct OEM Mopar part numbers for those exact matte black, textured wheel well moldings (flares) are identical across both configurations.
The correct Mopar OEM part numbers you need are:

Front Moldings (Rebel / Warlock Specific)
These front flares are uniquely shaped to meet the chiseled edges of the Rebel/Warlock front bumper style.
  • Front Left (Driver Side): 68261143AA (or 68261143AB / 68261143AC)
  • Front Right (Passenger Side): 68261142AA (or 68261142AB / 68261142AC)

Rear Moldings
The rear flares fit the standard 4th-generation 5'7" short bed box shared by the Rebel, Warlock, and standard 1500s.

Required Hardware (Clips)
If you are buying bare or used flares, you will also need the specialized plastic retention clips that snap into the factory bedside fender holes:
  • Rectangular/Square Hole Clips: 68214896AA
  • Round Hole Clips: 68172491AA
