Why do radiators take so long to get?

Just curious really as this is the 2nd time I’ve been told radiators are a two-week backorder.

Took my truck (Cummins) to the dealer for a leaking crankcase seal and they busted my radiator doing the repair; told me it would be 2 weeks to get a new one and that I would be provided a rental. Anyway, after a few phone calls, they’re taking one off a new truck on the lot and I’m supposed to have my truck back tomorrow.

About 6/mo after I got the truck the radiator started leaking, and I was told two weeks then also; which also ended in them taking a radiator out of a new truck on the lot.

Dealers do this all the time when parts are more than 3 days. The did this all the time with my Silverado. I told them after them taking a wire harness out of one - said just keep the truck in the parts dept for parts! haha
