My EGR Pressure sensing tube / exhaust back pressure sensor tube must have got a little crack in it which has eventually worn through to a hole and thus, needs replacing.

I have looked all over and cant find this little thing for less than $150 on geno's garage... they are over $300 on Mopar! :/

Its basically a break line and one side has a fitting for the sensor to thread on.

Has anyone had any luck finding one at a reasonable price or know of a different line that would work?

Thanks!

Just looking at the part, it appears to be a larger diameter (bulb) section in it. It might have to be the right size and volume to make back pressure on the EGR. If that makes sense.

You might try JB weld, but I think for what it does and the problems it could cause if not the correct back pressure, I would spend the money.

I don't know of another alternative, unless a junk yard has a wreaked truck or SUV that might use the same part.

given that has high temp insulation on it and it's attached to the exhaust system, even the extreme heat version of JB weld might not withstand the heat. The exhaust during a Regen cycle can easily hit 1200° F
If one can't afford a $150-$350 part for a truck with a $10K engine option then maybe a whole lot cheaper vehicle should be a consideration.

I would be highly tempted to disassemble the broken unit and see if I could make a new one from steel brake line. Depends on what is on the fitting shown to the left with the bracket, and under the heat sheilding. I own all of the crimpers, flaring tools, and tubing benders required to make most steel tubing components, for brakes and tractor hydraulic lines. My daddy taught me that if you are even a little bit mechanically inclined, you can buy the special service tools needed to do most things yourself, for less thn hiring someone else. And, the job gets done to your satisfaction. I have lots of tools. And a very low tolerance for paying someone to do a job which looks like my younger brother and his drugoid buddies did it.
