I'd like to know the widest wheel spacer you can use before having to use wheel adapters (the spacers with their own set of bolts). Those don't seem to safe to me (wheel spacers in general don't seem safe lol). I know some of you run them, so any opinions would be helpful.

i'd never run bigger than a 1/4" bigger than that its honestly gonna be cheaper in the long run to get rims with correct offset. I've heard too many horror stories.

I ran 1.5inch spacers front and rear fro 95'000km on my 2007 ranger, no issues!!
I have 1inch spacers on my 2011 Ram, I've put 18'000km on it and havent had any issues.
When you rotate tires torque the spacer bolts and everything is fine, i put anti seize on the back of them before bolting them on so break jobs are easier, just instead of 5 bolts you have to take out 10. haha.

If you are going to get them make sure they are HUBCENTRIC and billet aluminum, not cast. much strong. like I said I have personally put 100k on spacers and never an issue.
