I feel like a such a ******** for not seeing the dint on my roof before signing the papers.
I have put 2 pictures here so all can see my problem. It is just above the driver, down by the windshield.
It took about 1 week before I seen the dint cause the truck sits so high, and at that point I was back to the dealership to see what they were going to do about it. I got the impression from them, that if I didn't have the pics of the truck before I bought it, then I may have been up a creek. The dealership took pictures and sent them to Chrysler. It took about 1 week for them to get back to me with the answer from them.
Chrysler at this point is going to pull down my roof liner and pop the dints out, and if the paint cracks then repaint my roof. I made it quite clear to them that there is to be NO FILLER of any type put on my truck...oh forgot to mention, at first Chrysler wasn't going to give me a rental.
I asked the guy at the dealership, if it don't come out then what is the next step for Chrysler, and he remarked lets wait and see if it comes out...I figured they would have had a back-up plan
I'm kinda pissed... a $50.000.00 truck and its at a "LETS WAIT AND SEE"
Has this happened to anyone here, and what was the out come, cause I refuse to have filler put in a new truck.

Oh I forgot to mention I'm having it done tomorrow, so input would be great

How in the balls could you not notice that before driving off the lot? It's ridiculously visible... I always do a walk around before I even go in to sign the papers... go over it inside and out... test drive etc... damn

First off welcome to the forum. Yeah are you sure that didn't happen somewhere else? Looks like a baseball hit it. lol. That is a pretty good sized dent that would be hard to miss. But anyway, on to your question. If it were me, I would be very thankful that they are willing to fix it because unless they have a note in their pre purchase writeups/checklists about it being there, then they certainly do NOT have to fix it. They are being very generous and you should probably continue to buy vehicles from them. I would be willing to bet that it'll pop out. Those PDR guys can do some amazing things with sheet metal. But no I don't think they will replace your truck. No way. Sorry. Good luck with this and I hope it pops right out.

This is no excuse for my stupidity but, the sales guy didn't see it, the PDI guy didn't see it, I didn't see it till I was sitting up in my tractor. With the excitement of my first new truck I some how didn't see it, the -25 temp outside didn't help.

Don't get me wrong...I'm PISSED at myself for it too.

Sucks man hopefully the fix it right for you but in the end your at fault if they don't. From their standings who's to say you didn't cause it. Props to them for attempting to help already tho

wow...that dent is hard to miss.

The dealer is doing you a solid. They obviously want your business in the future.

I'm sure it will turn out fine.

Nice truck but the way...very sharp

Yep. It should pop out easily. I wouldn't worry about this. My truck got hail damage and every ding came out, no marks or chipped paint.

And I mean haaaaaaaaaail damage! LOL
