What is available out the re for mounting a winch on the front of a 2018 2500 Cummins?

Anything that is some what hidden?

Not really interested in a big after market bumper.

Thanks.

The OEM Power Wagon winch mount doesn't work on a Cummins ? That would be my first idea.

Edit: Found the answer. Not possible because of the intercooler.

The only thing that I’ve seen that may work, is to add a front receiver, and a winch mounting plate. Of course that will leave the winch exposed as well.

Best bet is a aftermarket winch bumper. There is no room to "hide" a winch like on the gas power wagon.

That's correct. The Cummins, due to its length, requires the intercooler to be placed where the Power Wagon's winch is located.

About the only way to 'hide' a winch on a Cummins-powered truck is to go with an aftermarket bumper.

I personally use a HD bumper with an integrated receiver hitch. I only throw on the winch if I'm going somewhere I think I'd need it. I also have a cover for my winch. I actually imagine that the power wagon winch is probably more exposed than my covered winch and harder to clean -- but that's just presumption, I'd love to see some pictures!

Don't have pics, but the PW winch is tucked up behind the bumper. If you have overly large hands you'll have a difficult time reaching in to plug in the remote or flip the freespool lever, at least on my '17. I almost can't do it with mine.

It IS hard to clean, mostly because unless you unbolt it you can't really get to it.

It seems that the front receivers that I am finding have a pretty low rating, I'd be afraid to pull it off if I got stuck.

In my experience they also tend to be mounted pretty low which isn't ideal.

Sounds like you need an aftermarket bumper. :)

Take a look at Torklift, I think it is rated higher than most.

I have had two of these Bumpers: https://www.buckstopinc.com/products.html

1. 2001 Ram 2500
2 2008 Ram 3500

These are incredible bumpers.. Unlike most bumpers like "Ranch hand" it is designed to collapse on the sides during an extreme impact saving your frame... do not think for a moment it is a weak bumper--ITS NOT!

The Brush guard is also removable without having to remove the whole bumper! The winch controls are easy to get to also..
These are very nice bumpers with no showing welds for the most part..
Love these bumpers!

It is all less expensive than a new bumper/fender.5A4DB5B8-9A52-420F-94F7-D3E1103C21DF.jpeg5BEAFC29-882A-4E6A-8875-D81AD68CD08E.jpeg5A4DB5B8-9A52-420F-94F7-D3E1103C21DF.jpeg 5BEAFC29-882A-4E6A-8875-D81AD68CD08E.jpeg
