Has anyone ever seen or used one of these, or something similar, on thier rig for towing?

Back when I towed a trailer behind a Jeep Cherokee that I had I used one on there and felt as though it made a difference. Now that I tow the trailer that is in my sig pic, I was thinking that getting something like this might help with fuel economy.

I was actually thinking I might make something myself that would be more over the bed of the truck, right at the rear of the cab, than on the cab. I feel that would help more with the distance between the back of the cab and the front of the trailer.

Just wondered if anyone has thoughts on this type of item and whether it really does any good or not.

I'm wondering their value with the design of the newer front caps on the fivers. My RV dealer doesn't sell them anymore, told me there was no value add anymore. Haven't noticed them in use.

I'm thinking that they could possibly marginally help, but would require being "tuned" for your particular tow vehicle and trailer. The trailer manufacturers spend a lot of time in simulations and wind tunnels to design their kit.
