I want to do a curved light bar across the top of the windshield but I dont see many of them on here. I see more of the bumper mounted light bars but I've always liked the windshield mount. Does anyone have one of these that they can help me out with? Im a little concerned with how the mounts just bolt into the body. Should I silicone over the bolts after I drill them through? Also is it better to use self tapping screws or a bolt and nut?

I too like the way they look but I didn't wanna drill holes. Plus the wind noise can be pretty loud as described by the few dudes on here that are running them on the windshields.

Yeah I had one on my jeep and it was loud but my ram came with the alpine audio haha. My concern was drilling it on. The jeep was straight bolt on but I'm not sure about drilling because there is no real instructions on where to drill. I'm kind of on my own. I guess I'll just match it up before drilling. Also I'll probably silicone over the bolts.

I had one on my truck previously but I ended up taking it off. I ended up using self tapping screws to drill the mounts on. I also used silicon too just in case. They mounted on the roof where the drain rains are if that makes sense.

can you post a pic of this? Where you used the screws.

I don't have it on anymore and I don't really have a picture of where they screwed in. This is the best picture I have that shows it. 3cdec0194154d5dbcdf1383ebc3d4166.jpg
