I guess after 5 years of being outside in over 50.C weather, the Rubber trims are showing their age.
Most importantly, the I seem to have lost a rubber part on one side of my truck (near the wipers) and the other ones seem to crumble to the slightest touch.
Ouch Ram.. Ouch. I notice my friend's GMC has rubber bits that aren't crumbling and that truck is older.

My brother's 2004 Durango has these bits as hard plastic that that lasted till now. Are there similar aftermarket ones for my 2014 Ram?

I replaced mine with a newer model's i found at a local junk yard. You can also find them on ebay or buy brand new from allmoparparts. Benny i believe can help. They are a vendor here on the forum.

Honestly, I was hoping there were some aftermarket parts that were made of plastic or something better than the rubber ones OEM ones. But if OEM is the only way to go then that's all there is to say about it.

Thanks for the replies.

Sorry to revive an old thread.. I've been looking online for an affordable option to get this part. It seems affordable, but murder on shipping; like most places are asking for 1500 - 2000 USD.
The reason for looking online is because I am sure that the local dealer would charge an huge amount for it. They normally do.

What is even more strange is that, Unlike the 3 rubber parts that are on the truck currently, it seems the replacement comes in one piece and made of plastic.
Not sure why Ram decided to do it this way for the trim. Kinda seems like "planned" since they knew the rubber wound degrade in the heat.

Not everyone lives in a hot area, they manufacture things as cheap as they can get away with. Have you looked at rock auto.com I’m not sure but I’ve heard others have had things sent overseas and they weren’t to bad on cost.

I was able to clean mine up using a heat gun. The side pieces were faded out white. It's the same process the jeep guys use on the plastic cladding. Lots of youtube videos on it. A torch also works.
