Just curious if anyone else has tried replacing the factory blades with 22"ers? Everything I read said the truck takes 22" blades but when I tried them they'd end about an inch short of where the factory wipers would wipe. Was driving me nuts so I got 24"ers and they match the factory blades perfectly.

Hmmm interesting. I replaced them with 22" blades and didn't notice a problem. But as long as 24" blades don't hit anything weird I don't think it'd be a problem to use them.

I would think think 24-inchers would be too long as the new 22 inch Trico Force blades I got fit the same as the stock blades. Even look the same as them, too. The passenger side one on the end doesn’t touch the windshield when they’re all the way down. They work great, tho. Much better than the Bosch Icons I had before.

I got Bosch Envision. The 24s are one inch longer at each end. The passenger end also doesn't touch the windshield when it's down either. The 24s seem to be the same as factory.

What’s the difference between those and the Icons?

I found the 24” factory style blades to hop a lot across my windshield during light rain at highway speed. I finally replaced them with 22” factory size Bosch icons. The icons are awesome! They are smooth and seamless all day.

Is it just me, or does it seem like a real waste to replace the whole wiper and not just the refills like we used to?

Can we still by refills ?

Not that I know of - unless someone has some NOS stock laying around.

I think they still make some of the traditional wiper blades with replaceable blades. As far as whether or not the stock Mopar blades, the Bosch Icons/Envisions, Trico Force, or any of the other higher-ended blades are made to replace just the blade part, that I don’t know.

But I would think the blade companies think only people who buy the expensive blades aren’t worried about replacing just part of their blade, instead of the whole thing. And that only the people who buy the cheap blades are the ones who obviously want to spend as little as possible on blades, and maybe that’s why they make most of the cheap blades able to just replace part of it....

I haven't seen refills available anywhere in several years.

I always have the dealer replace the blades. That way, when they chatter, I can blame them and they can deal with it.
