Well, don't get your hopes up. The trucks are built in about a day. It's the 6-8 weeks of it sitting on trains, in rail yards and stored on parking lots that is the motivation killer. And then if car haulers are busy could take a week just to get it on a truck and delivered to your dealership. I know, I'm a buzz kill.

It's on it's final train ride. Hopefully it doesn't wait for a truck for too long. If everything goes well might have her in a couple of weeks. Watch I will get it here in good time & the dealer will take over a week to detail & add my hood decal. :Frustrated:

Possibly. It took about two weeks for the dealer to get a truck under it in Salt Lake City area and make the 6 hour drive to Caldwell, ID. Told me car haulers were exceptionally busy last May.

Woo Hoo again! It just arrived today! I have been pretty lucky, it has made it through the shipping process rather fast. I was expecting it to sit at the final rail yard for a week or two. Probably will finish the paperwork & bring it home Saturday. :favorites13: Now I will be spending any extra money after payment on mods.:naughty:

I'd give it a good once over and get anything that may not be perfect fixed before i took possession. Heard of paint imperfections and other small defects in not so obvious places that were found after driving off the lot and hard to get fixed later.

Yeah that is just one more reason why I am waiting until Saturday to pick it up. We are having crappy weather now & Saturday is to be warmer & sunny. Should be able to inspect it much better in that weather. I gave it a quick look over yesterday & didn't find anything but it was cloudy & rainy. Today it is dark & will snow all day high 34. Saturday nearly 60 & sunny. This has been another yoyo ride winter.:Insane:

Those issues have mostly been reported out of the (outdated) Warren plant and not Sotillo Mexico where the HD's are built. At least from everything I've ever read in recent times.

Yeah that's what I thought too just the 1500's. I haven't seen too much as far as poor quality paint out of the Mexico plant.

Personally I would not let the dealership detail the truck. I always do it myself. They usually run them thru a swirl-o-matic or wash with buckets and towels that have washed many other trucks/cars. All they did was take the plastic protection film off mine and remove the adhesive. Looked like they removed the adhesive with sandpaper.
