Question on the lighted mirrors (factory and 1A) - does the turn signal light when the parking lights are on (like a marker light) or just when the turn signal is on?

Only when turn signals or hazards are on

guys...has anyone else been successful making the mirror adjustment compensate after flipping them up?

It's the only thing I've been unable to do so far for my truck.

After I had my truck flashed at the dealer, everything worked......including the controls changing when they're flipped to the upright position.

I had them flash LEB and LEC for the courtesy lamps and the blinkers...what code would I need for the adjustment?

I recently bought tow mirrors from 1A Auto to upgrade my 2013 power/heated mirrors. I just got the computer flashed with the OP's sales codes and they work. They flashed the tow mirror code as well, but for some reason can't get the comouter to recognize which position the mirrors are in for the adjustment. But I'm very happy I found this post so I could upgrade and get additional functions.

Has anyone been able to solve the directional adjustment issues when mirrors are down vs up?
Is it strictly a aftermarket issue or OEM as well?

my mirrors still dont adjust correctly with the mirrors up..kind of a pain but i have learned to live with it....so far

NJ4X4 is i think the only person i have seen say that his mirrors adjust properly

i used OEM mirrors so i think it effects both aftermarket and OEM

Would consider trading my OEM power/heated/directional/courtesy lights tow mirrors (not power folding) for OEM standard power/heated/directional/courtesy lights mirrors. Does all this exist on non-towing mirrors?

My 13 has OEM chrome,power fold,heated,turn signals and puddle lights.If your near Ohio I might consider a trade.

im wanting tow mirrors without the puddle lamps and blinkers which i can find for the 2012 ram but i have a 2013 and i know that with my temp sensor being in the mirror i need to order 2013 and up mirrors. Buttttttt since the 2012 mirror has the exact options i want can i relocate my temp sensor and still have everything else work? has anybody done this? im not so worried about having a perfectly accurate ambient temp cuz i never look at it anyways. I just cant seem to bring myself to pay $330+ for the tow mirrors and my only ram dealer out here in socal wants to charge me $225 to flash the codes!

That sensor isnt just for your dash temp, it is the temp sensor for the vehicle itself, so you will throw a code and it will make the truck run poorly if you try and mess with it or remove it all together.

Damn ok. So how about getting the2013 mirrors from 1aauto with the puddle lamps and blinker but just not having the codes flashed? Can I run those without throwing a code?

hey guys. u have a 2013 Ram 1500 Express with standard power, heated mirrors. i just got a free set of 2011 power, heated, folding tow mirrors with courtesy and blinkers but am aware of the temp sensor issue. do i have any options with those mirrors or are they worthless to me?
i am willing to trade those and my stock mirrors black, (power heated with no courtesy or blinker) that are currently on my truck for a set of tow mirrors for my 2013. i want them in black and power heated but don't care if it has the courtesy or blinker (mine doesn't have that now anyway). i'm near pittsburgh, PA. another option would be to buy only the drivers side mirror and use the passenger side mirror i have.

i also have the stock power heated (black) mirrors off my old 2007 Ram if anyone is interested. i added tow mirrors to that and left them on when i traded it in.

let me know what my options are here please

Best bet would be to sell all of the above, and buy the correct mirrors with temp sensor for the 13.

Yes you can use those mirrors with no codes.
