I would strongly suggest that unless 90% of your miles are towing, stick to the 6.4 gas in the 2500. They tow just fine for occasional towing and are way easier to live with as a daily driver. I agree about them being comfortable; if I am driving 5 plus hours straight, I much prefer my 2500 Laramie to our Jeep Grande Cherokee Summit. Seating position is much more upright, good support and wide seats/shoulder room. I bought the 2500 because I wanted a long box. It doesn't ride as nice as the 1500, but it does everything else far better. For the ultimate in ride quality I have a Lexus LS460.
