Looking at the back of your truck, I wonder if the plasma idea would also work for the hitch to bumper gap? What if some type of shape was tacked to underside of bumper and cleanly installs between the exhaust tips? Could be tribal designs, lettering or whatever..

Truck looks sweet man, and Arctic Cat was my sled of choice. The fab shop did give me one kinda cool idea for the tow hook opening should they not figure something out. They have a kick ass plasma cutter and suggested having whatever design or lettering plasma cut and then installed behind opening. They say that they can cut any design I give them. That could be pretty creative. Otherwise, they would look into trying to re-install tow hooks after bumper is moved.
Thanks man! Let me know how it turns out for you with the tow hooks! Or start a thread on it lol. I'm sure all the body lift guys would love to see it!

Great build thread. Truck is lookin' great! I know what you mean on the body lift route. It because frustrating at some aspects. It did help when I did the spark plugs though, lol.

Now I'm fighting on putting a bull bar at the moment. It mounts on the frame, so it would be 3" low. Some I'm working with a friend on custom mounts to raise it up.

Could you post a pick under the bumper at the exhaust? Curious how you got 5" tips in there. I have 3.5" right now because what the shop had when I had the exhaust changed. I can't see how to get 5" with the bumper brackets in the way. Unless your mounts are different than my 2010.

Again, truck looks amazing! Great choices. Really like that LED bar down there! :waytogo:

Thanks Cruizer! Yeah sometimes it can be tough but on my build there have been some great benefits too! Like I'm using the stock rear coils so the airlift 1000 bags work perfectl, I didn't need to get a 10" drop hitch, the bumper was raised up making it possible for the LED Light bar to go under the bumper!

Here are the pics!

The shop made this bend in a pipe and welded it on. Then we used the 4" MBRP tips from the cat back as adaptors for the 5" tips. It was tight to get these 5" tips on because they're 12" long too! Lol turned out pretty good though!

They are nice and tight in there. I'm looking for the bumper mount on the inside of the pipe. You can see mine right next to the tips. When I had the OEM tips on there, they were near touching. One the 2010, when you raise the bumper you can see the mounts. I plasti-dip'd mine just so you could see the hardware, lol.

Haha that's like me! I bought a Kawasaki Ninja last week so that's where my focus has been and probably will remain for a while!

Badass! Love that car handles awesome, and it's AWD and just raw power, no traction control or abs or anything

Yeah, that's the one. Curious how they got the exhaust up close with those there. I think at some point I want to put 5" tips on. The 3.5" look puny in the bumper slots.

Hey Cruizer sorry for the delay on this!

Looks like they cut those low hanging bumper mounts out and made raised them.

Glad I saw this because I'm going to throw some paint on that rust!

Thanks for the pics. I had that idea when they were putting my 3.5" but didn't have to. I will probably go to 5" at some point and might have to do the same.

Yeah the bumper is still held on by 2 bolts per side so I'm happy! Lol

Sometimes it's the little mods that make a nice difference! I added aluminum tire stem caps to all the wheels and to the airbag lines. I think they look great! Only cost me $5 on ebay too lol.
