Finally finished my lift:
My rig already had a 2.5” level when I got it, but was not done proper.
Here is what I did:
Installed the Zone Off Road 2.5” lift kit.
This kit includes new upper control arms that are much beefier with better angles.
Also includes drop brackets for for the front diff., so the the axle angles are not stressed out.
Kit is pretty straight forward with good instructions, could have better pics with it.
I did have my local guy weld the brackets after install, just makes me feel better that nothing is coming loose. Lower cross bracket is not welded in, so I can remove it later for any trans or transfer case work. Installed new Bilstein 4100 front struts.
Also installed 1.5” rear lift blocks, because I do not like a saggy butt.
After install I went to get new BFG K2O's 285/75/R17, however with the factory 17” wheels the tires would hit the new control arms at full droop.
I got new Vision Manx 398 wheels: 17" x 8.5", 0 Offset, 5x139.7 Bolt Pattern, 108mm Hub.
Also installed Hub Centric rings.
I now have enough room to run 35x12.5 later if I want, also the tires only stick
out about 1”, offset seems about perfect.
Rig rides great, I have probably put about 1,000 miles on it so far.
I am very happy with and highly recommend the Zone Off Road lift.
