im thinking about the same thing. I just came from a lifted Nissan Titan on 37's and im looking for more of a cruiser now. Love lifted trucks but i usually switch styles every other truck.

Whats the best riding drop kit? Im thinking a 2/4 is a preety sick stance without hendering daily driving and comfort

Only kits available off the shelf are 2/4 or 2/3. You can mix and match and cut coils to make it lower if you want to. Not sure on which one rides better, but I haven't seen any complaints on any of the 3 kits.

Belltech 2/4 drop - coils only - available with new shock options - cheapest kit at around $300 without shocks
McGaughys Economy 2/4 drop - coils only - have to modify track bar relocator bracket
McGaughys Deluxe 2/4 drop - Front spindles, rear coils - pushes front tires out about 3/4" - have to modify track bar relocator bracket
Groundforce 2/3 drop - coils only, includes shocks - most expensive

Its on the brain.........I am kinda getting tired of jumping in the truck, and the steps could fund a nice portion of it (last I checked I think the 4x4 drops were 700??)

I believe ground force is the only one who makes a 4x4 drop. P/N 9984. Stylintrucks has it for $785.20.

I'm kinda glad I have a 2wd now! And if your tired of jumping in your truck now, ditching the steps and dropping 4" is going to make it worse....

And don't forget the alignment, another $60.

I don't use the steps........LOL

They sit too low for what I really want, but are great for the kids and wife.

Honestly, just thinking of something different, but I think the price is going to push me away. Oh, and the fact that I would have no clue where to start with it.

Installation isn't too bad, but you will need to compress your front struts to swap the springs. The rear is a piece of cake, I could do it in probably 20 minutes.

The price on the 4wd kits does suck. Honestly, if it would have cost me $800 to drop my truck, I wouldn't have done it.

I have actually gotten used to using my steps and really like them. The OEM steps were about useless, but the Powerboards are perfect.
