I'm assuming iron was way high?We have one, one member did three uoa's when his cam was in failure, I wish I would have tagged all the relevant threads from day one, but depending how committed you are I bet you can find it. His wear numbers were astronomical.
This software only recognizes last 500 posts, if there is a way past that it would be easy to find, follow my early posts.
Sorry, old man Burla don't have shiney marbles in his head when it comes to memory. The two things I remember, astronomical wear numbers and he did three uoa's, you find that thread there ya go. I believe we discussed hemi tick, but I don't remember the titles of the thread. I believe a lot of these types of threads that ended in failure aren't labeled tick, but something else like engine damage or something. I will try once again to find it. I am 90% sure it was 4 gen.
The blocks the ram forum software put in make it hard to find, doesn't really matter, just know that particular tick had very high wear numbers. I'm sure that thread dates back to 2013.

Fram Quality Control ?
A few weeks ago I changed the oil/filter and air filter on my wife's Jeep Patriot.
I used PP and a Fram Ultra, and I also bought her a new Fram air filter.
The air filter fit too loose, was gonna suck air. It was a Sunday, so I had to wait to buy a Mopar from my dealer. Bought it, and it fit nice and tight. Also lost the receipt for the Walmart Fram, but no big deal there.
Anyhow, it's got me wondering about Fram quality. That ****** would have sucked a lot of dirt and bugs had I not noticed it. If a shop would have done it, I would have NEVER known.......
But im subscribed to a RP-20-820 on amazon now so im dropping the fram oil filter to. Not because of quality though. ONLY because of the media filter comparison info that was posted months ago.
RP filters killed it.
Fram was in like 3rd or 4th place out of a LOT of filters though. Its a great filter.
This what ive been waiting for. Now we cound hook up an engine block heater to this.
Probobly be extremely expensive though.

Problem is that to get good power the sun has to be overhead. If you need a block heater then you're far enough north that you would need to tilt them up at 30+ degrees to get more direct sunlight and you would not get power on dark days ( rain/snow) or at night. I have solar panels on my house so I know this first hand.
I think the filter is pretty accessable from the front side , I just lay down a rag break the filters tq with my hand ( I have LARGE hands ) then I slip a 1qt container up under the filter that covers about 75% of the filter and reach in with a thumb & pointing finger to spin it about 1/2 way down to let it drain , spin it the rest the way off and let it drop into the container with the already drained oil ...I've never spilled a drop after 5 or 6 changes ...hope this helps !I just did my 1st oil change at 3000 miles. I used the Fram ultra. It has an odd "flute" count so none of my oil filter sockets fit it so hopefully it won't be a PIA to get off next oil change. That filter is in a tight spot on the 5.7L. Do they make a 45 or 90 degree filter adaptor for the 5.7L, I see them for the 3.6L?
